Barraganete Plantain

The Barraganete Plantain, scientifically known as Musa Paradisiaca, boasts exceptional quality where the fingers should be flawless, except for minor surface alterations that do not exceed a total of 1 cm.

This tropical fruit is characterized by a thick skin, fleshy pulp, and a white or slightly yellowish hue. Upon ripening, it acquires a mild flavor and aroma. To ensure its integrity, the Barraganete Plantain is meticulously organized and packaged in boxes.

Regarding its specifications, the Barraganete Plantain is presented as a fresh fruit, with a minimum finger length of 9 inches (pulp to pulp) and a thickness ranging from 52 to 60 degrees. Classified as a premium-quality fruit, each box weighs 50 net pounds (US), and each container accommodates 1080 palletized boxes spread across 20 pallets, with 54 boxes per pallet.

For transportation, a refrigerated container is employed, maintaining a temperature of 8 degrees Celsius (46.40 Fahrenheit in the US) and a ventilation rate of 20%. The average number of fingers per box is 75.
